The Crystal Maze description

A collection of puzzles based on the popular (but unknown to us) of the eponymous British TV show. Before the start of the game you have to choose six team members of the twelve are represented, but in the game to see them you will (probably, we can assume that the game is first person).

The aim of the game is to pass the five zones with different puzzles (fifth – final), while collecting the Crystals of Time (one for the first four zones – namely, his finding the passage of the episode and ends). Areas differ in their "background-historical" theme (the heyday of the Aztec Empire, the European middle Ages, futuristic world and the fantastic underwater world), as well as for the mysteries they contained. There are four types of puzzles: physical strength, ability to do something with his hands, mind and wit; as you might guess, your team members also have different abilities (each character has some strengths and weaknesses), so for the solution to a puzzle is to choose one who is best able to solve it.

The last level, the fifth, called The Crystal Dome is a purely arcade game where each player needs for a limited period of time (each one you found earlier, the crystal gives five seconds, then there will be twenty seconds) to catch as many gold tickets, but this is necessary to avoid silver, which do not give and take away points; if the total score of points here more than a hundred, you win (although in reality is still not quite clear the complexity with the "capture" part of the characters at this point). Mysteries on each of the first four levels only six or seven, and each type is at least one; it is impossible not to recognize that they are all in the game more than the original (and therefore to describe in detail their not worth it).

Crystal Maze is made in a beautiful and vivid graphic palette (although in some places the image was somewhat blurred), but the game leaves a rather mixed impression: really interesting puzzles in the first four stages and some nonsense in the final. However, connoisseurs of rare computer puzzle game surely will be pleased. What is the similarity of the game with the original TV show is still a mystery.
