Young swineherd Tanar from the world of Prydain has to protect his pig, has turned out to be magical powers from kidnapped his terrible demon king, who wants to use the ability of the poor animal to find the artifact "the Black Cauldron" (Black Cauldron), who will give him power over the world.

And I want to say that the interface and gameplay is similar to other similar quests, but... would it be right? Especially because it all looks like: for example, for every action of the hero meets the specific functional key (i.e. print do not have). But the actions of these not so little – Tanar can run, jump, pick up and use items and talk to NPCs. And yet only three function keys. The solution to most mysteries is, as you probably already guessed, to find and use different things (sometimes in a specific point in time). Another difference of the game from the later representatives of the genre – the presence of multiple alternative endings.

Graphically, for its time, everything looks very good, although the animation can not, of course, compete with the later masterpieces Creek s. The whole palette bears the imprint of some carelessness, and "childishness", and, perhaps, correct to recognize that the game is made primarily for children.

Black Cauldron – not the best quest from Sierra, not the best in any of the directions. But, even puzzles here will certainly cause the majority of adult players a condescending smile, to play this game should, in my opinion, every fan of the genre.
