Avalon description

Completely ruined the atmosphere of his native Land by the end of the 22nd century, people suddenly discovered that their continued existence is in question. Some immediately fell into despair, others still did not lose hope, but only a small group of desperate, strong spirit and ready for all adventurers saw a real way out – an escape to the planet of avalon, in all respects ideally suited to the role of the new shelter person. The way was long, and to beat him was only the price of high losses, but the goal was achieved -among pristine forests, close to the pure life-giving waters of the ocean, had the first colony of brave travelers. Civilian life, however, was destined to end immediately after a small and almost defenceless town was exposed to a fierce attack by creatures of unknown origin, for strange reasons is not detected in a global analysis of the planet from orbit. It was clear only one – the second attack immigrants already not reflect. Hope is only a young fearless of Mace (Mace), which was determined to find out the causes of fallen comrades trouble. We travel to long and full of surprises adventure through Avalon.

At first sight it becomes obvious that Avalon is the successor of the ideas jRPG SNES times, and come to mind associations with the gameplay unforgettable Phantasy Star. Offered to the development of the world consists of pairs of settlements, where you can learn the latest news and to pick up a suitable weapon with armor, and a dozen different from each other locations with a constantly growing series of monsters and a few storyline characters. Hence the simplicity of the gameplay – the main condition of passing game is that you have a sufficient stock of patience to survive the thousands of repetitive turn-based battles with monsters. The latter, incidentally, though looks are sometimes very offensive, are different from each other, except that the amount of HP and attack power, not having, unfortunately, little to no unique features.

More rosy things are with our hero, Mace, he can not only beat and evade attacks, but over time, gain experience, increase maximum life and use a number of vital items that could help in the battle, and during a rare lull. For example, in the protracted battle are indispensable grenade, dealing massive damage to all enemies at once, stun guns, depriving the adversary of the ability to move that weakens the device, which lower both protection and attack particularly dangerous monsters. A meeting with the bosses, of course, are all expended in their achievement of effort – not only that every villain considers it his duty to reveal some more plot secrets, so also do duel, unlike ordinary skirmishes, will require considerable effort and force to properly dispose of the accumulated deposits of useful devices. During the wandering and wandering through the narrow corridors of the caves, the castle dungeons and gloomy rocks you will help items of a more peaceful purpose: to analyze the terrain and to map, using a laptop computer, or expand a barely noticeable hole in the wall with a pick here is easy.

That's what need to praise Avalon - it's for graphic design and music. The song could not be more in keeping with the spirit of suspense and tension that prevails beyond mastered by people of patch of land, and listen to them do not get tired until the very end. But opponents, in company with whom we spend most of the game looks very impressive and as if to forewarn us of their evil intentions of a formidable and fearsome appearance.

To evaluate the gameplay of Avalon it as "barely reach the average level" is unlikely to succeed, but it will not prevent the player fascinated to enjoy the endless process of destroying the monsters – in the end, all the other elements that comprise this project do not deserve the slightest censure, and pleasant sound along with is not a bad story may convince you to pay more attention. And how can you give up in the face of danger faithful friends and the last representatives of the human race? In any case, to try to save them for sure is – offered in the end reward is more than worthy of his hero.
