Uridium description

The classic space shooter of the 80-ies. Developed by the firm Hewson Consultants that gave us such masterpieces as Exolon, Zynaps, Cybernoid, and many others. Unfortunately, most of them passed by platform IBM PC, so that Uridium is almost the only exception. More interesting to see it.

At first glance, the gameplay does not differ from that in other side-scrollers, but all is not so simple — the action takes place on floating space platform, along which we can fly in both directions; and in order to finish the level, you must shoot down a certain number of enemies. And to make things even more complicated, our ship is equipped with inertia and ability to change the speed, so immediately turn does not — and this is sometimes absolutely necessary. In the end, have the complexity in the tradition of old arcades: I did not manage to pass the first level...

The graphics are simple if not to say primitive, but it does not cause rejection — all drawn very carefully, also in 16 colors, at that time (1988) was for PC rare. But the animation is very fast and smooth.
