Serve & Volley

Sports game released by Accolade, Inc. in the year 1988 by the name Serve & Volley is an excellent 3rd-person (Other) perspective game that can be played online by clicking on the link here.

Serve & Volley description

A simple tennis game with a side view and a completely static camera (i.e., view – always from the side and from a single point, although the figures of players and moving, of course).

By the way – the word "simple" is applicable to all the components of this game, that is, to the gameplay, and graphics, but in any case is not a pejorative, on the contrary – the game is a wonderful feeling of light nostalgia for long-past time fascinating arcades. Because it's still much more arcade than true sports simulator controls – very simple.

About the game itself to say almost nothing. A choice of two game modes – single game or a championship with successive passages (and to save the result, then to not start again). You can play together on one computer (it is possible that the game is focused primarily on this mode, as the computer's AI in it is not very strong), and the role of education performs a demo mode where the computer plays with the computer. Graphics, as has been seen above, fairly simple but quite vivid, colorful and though not particularly strong in terms of drawing, but attentive to detail (see the judge and stands with spectators). So though Serve & Volley and can not claim the status of a tennis masterpiece, but to play it to anyone who likes old arcade (even not necessarily sports) games, still stands.
