Once Upon a Forest description
Once Upon a Forest is a children's cartoon adventure game created by the eponymous cartoon. In General, the creators of the game tried to follow the story firsthand: in the quest, like in the cartoon, it is about how three anthropomorphic woodland creatures (as such we are hedgehog Russell, Abigail mouse and mole Edgar) go in search of the plants able to cure his granddaughter of their teachers. There are, however, some plot differences: in the cartoon, the aforementioned granddaughter of the disease was a consequence befell the forest environmental disasters (people inadvertently spilled in the area of green space a tank of toxic chemicals), but in the game she eats a poisonous mushroom. The plot of the original, in my opinion, was much stronger; it is not clear why the developers decided to change it, especially since most of the story moves transitioned from the cartoon quest without any changes.
Since the game is made on motives of a cartoon, the target audience guessed at once: it is, of course, children. It is clear that the quest-oriented children, we should not expect requiring much thought to combine items or overly difficult puzzles. It's pretty simple, and in case a player has a problem passing in Once upon a Forest is implemented hint system.
Of the interesting features of the gameplay I want to commend the attempt of the developers to enter between the characters a kind of "separation of duties": Abigail, take on the burden of head of the expedition, examines the items and decides which of them to take and what not to take; to pick up and carry the right things, however, have Russell and the problem of Edgar is to give the group valuable guidance and useful tips. Switching between characters this feature, however, does not require: the heroes of the game are able to understand how and from whom it takes.
Graphics for 1995 very good: the backgrounds and characters are drawn. Another nice feature is a very good voice.
To summarize, we say that Sanctuary Woods turned out very good game for the younger generation, has nice graphics, good storyline, cute characters and puzzles, challenging as much as necessary.
Enjoy playing Once Upon a Forest online, it can be played on your browser and is free.
