KKnD

Talented and creative developer Beam Software Pty., Ltd. released KKnD in the year 1997. The game was new, challenging and very engaging. Play it again online here.

KKnD description

Forty years ago a nuclear war engulfed the planet. Some people managed to escape into underground bunkers and to carry out part of the technologies themselves. They called Survivors (Survivors). Remaining on the surface were forced to adapt to a new life and gradually mutated. They found themselves a new stage of evolution and began to call themselves Evolved (Evolved). The conflict began when the Survivors decided to return from the depths of their bunkers on the surface of the planet, and realized that she no longer belongs.

Although the game is quite a classic real-time strategy, but it has several highlights. First, cute, well drawn and detailed landscape (which are only fragments of the statue of Liberty, half buried in the dirt). Secondly, this game differs from other games of this genre unusually high role of infantry in military operations. Correctly made with a lot of different types of infantry - a force to be reckoned with, and where you want to be able to use it to achieve success. It is worth noting that the game is difficult enough, but if you are not afraid of difficulties, you will have great fun. This will help 30 missions divided into two campaigns, and excellent dynamic music, which does not want to turn off even after a few days of play.

About ISO version
The gameplay is completely same as the original KKnD, differing only in the sound design. And the design is very original, as it tells about the opposition of Russian mobsters and Ukrainian nationalists. The plot is vodka "trash", released from the preserved Chernobyl NPP unit, "forming a pathological dependence with the first glass."

Translation sometimes boring, sometimes funny. Many Russian gamers it's pretty because it's the first translation that they saw.

It should be noted that in those days pirates were not so lazy and not so neglectful of their releases. Translated all the sound and text fully, and even replaced the soundtrack in a more appropriate style of localization.
