ICON: Quest for the Ring description
Vintage adventure game with small RPG elements in explanation formally Norse myths, when in fact there is more connection with the works of Wagner. The task is to find the artifact (the Golden Ring of the Nibelungs), passing the location for the area and fighting with different monsters.

About the gameplay we can say not so much any particularly difficult puzzles are there, you just need, as mentioned above, to destroy monsters with different weapons (all two of them – a sword and a magic staff), not forgetting to pick mushrooms that heal (although it after some time replenishes itself). Types of enemies, too few – only four: bats, rats, crocodiles and creatures like kobolds or goblins small.

What the game really interesting is the fact that, first, were published immediately and exclusively for the PC, and secondly-that for its time (1984 issue) on the chart was actually at the limits of IBM PC: here you can see as many as sixteen colors! Of course, some "real" definition of drawing creatures or landscape should not wait (although the figure of our hero – the game "top-side" - looks more than "full"), and such a schedule today to most people seems outdated, but for those years it was a real revolution.
