HeroQuest

A DOS game was developed by Gremlin Graphics Software Limited and then released by 221B Software Development in 1991, the game was called HeroQuest. Now you can relive the memories by playing it online here.

HeroQuest description

Gamification eponymous Board game, provisionally inscribed in the reality of WarHammer.

The four heroes - Barbarian, Wizard, Dwarf and Elf go on a journey, whose goal is to win over the evil sorcerer Marcaram, and each of them goes his own way...

Nominally, as well as other transfers nastolok from Gremlin, this game is just a wrapper, a wrapper for a convenient use of them inside - and that's good, because it allows you to easily move from the actual Board game to the computer and Vice versa. So we have the option to play hot-seat or solo play all four characters at once.

Nice looking isometric graphics like a lot of all, although modern players will first exclaim "bugger me, it's a turn-based Diablo!". Indeed, the similarities are many, unless there's a characteristic of "classic" games about dungeons, traps, tied not only to opening doors and chests have been there.

The whole game is divided into 14 missions (PC version contains also the first of the Addons - Return of the Witch Lord - existed separately on other platforms - and so it is twice as long), after each of which our heroes return to the city to sell the booty, lick the wounds and buy new gear.

The second spectacular feature - as in Space Crusade, another adaptation of the Board game by the same authors by the same programmers, each player begins the game from your end of the map. For singles this increases replay value at times, for fans of co - op- makes the task of collaborative (or competitive?) the passage more exciting. In General, bored you will not allow, and do not expect.

Overall - another classic "time killer", is equipped with the most damned factor "one more level". Worth a look.
