Guilty description

Innocent Until Caught 2: Presumed Guilty (naming, judging by the Intro, still just Guilty) – continued the first game by Divide by Zero, a good humorous quest Innocent Until Caught.

This time the story finds our old friend the thief in the process of catching some blastfurnace order. In fact, the journey of two characters through the depths of space in the direction of the correctional institution – that's the whole point of the story. But not so simple: on the path of heroes will be trapped by a variety of adventures, connected primarily with the fact that in the sector of the Galaxy, crossed them, there was a alien invasion, one could even say "inisterial" (but this word not yet invented). And how you can safely pass by and save the Universe from the threat, coming through the portal formed, by the way... uh, no! This is the spoiler. In General, as last time, very simple situation turn into another epic event.

Although since the release of the first game and it's been two years, the second series of adventures completely pretending not to be: graphics are virtually unchanged. That wasn't so bad, because the artistic part before was done efficiently. The interface is slightly changed, remaining at its core the same. Just disappeared scan function, giving way to automatic detection of active zones, but now we are not always informed about all possible actions applicable to the object, which may play a cruel joke. But the musical component has no complaints, and regardless of the type of the selected audio device.

As for the process, in addition to the standard puzzles are sometimes a small mini-game type of card pairs in one interplanetary casino. Or, for example, at one point the quest will try to pretend to be a shooter. But the main feature of the second part is the ability to choose a character. Here are two of them and, you guessed it, it is familiar to us Jack T. Ladd and his escort Ysanne Andropath. Although both of them, for quite understandable reason, have to visit the same planet, but the puzzles and the objectives they are different. For the most part. And before you roll out the lip in anticipation of two games in one pack, I'd be upset. First, towards the end the goals of the characters will be identical, and sometimes even actions to achieve them. Secondly, instead of giving the player the opportunity to look at the situation from two opposite angles, the developers simply offered the same story told in two mutually exclusive options.

And here on a scene there is one sad fact – General weakness Innocent Until Caught 2. The story itself was not too expressive, although the potential was very great. Disappoint especially the ending: the story ends too abruptly and casually. Another problem is noticeably weathered a humorous component, which is associated primarily with a reduced number of dialogues, and the existing replica has been written without much enthusiasm and ingenuity. The gameplay turned out to be too linear, but quests are to blame for this approach – occupation, bordering on stupidity. It must be noted also that the story though revolves around one important event, but the local adventures of the characters look too separated from each other: the narrative looks as if made of separate pieces.

Of course, Innocent Until Caught 2 - the game is not bad. Just happened she was too average, with good looks of its predecessor noticeable blunder. Do not save even the fact that the authors were generous to a complete dubbing of all dialogues in the CD version.
