Fighter Bomber

A very interesting DOS game was released by Vektor Grafix in the year 1990. The game was called Fighter Bomber. You can now play it online.

Fighter Bomber description

Very serious, and surprisingly hard to master the flight simulator that's based on a real program for training of American pilots. It is based on the annual contest between the aces of the U.S. air force carried out on the base Ellsworth in South Dakota, the prize named Curtis L. Mey. Therefore, immediately want to warn: if you love arcade simulators (about the fans "just arcades" no question at all), then walk past. If serious simulators you like that you can try, but will have to learn one way or another.

Given a choice of one of six aircraft (the management of each of them radically different from another), to fight with other types (there are only seven, for the management they are never available). Before beginning the actual campaign (consisting of sixteen missions) you can (should, I'd say) to go through the training and the ability to "just fly" ("free flight") in order to better hone their skills. The game also has a built-in editor to create your own missions, but first you should try to pass the campaign, of course. Can it be done, by the way, for me, is an open question...

Graphics for the simulator very very good, the view is from the cockpit, the landscape standard (that is, you know...), but enemy aircraft made in full (almost) 3D and make for a good wonder. So the game is, without a doubt, a landmark, but is able to shock some with its complexity.
