Turn-based strategy adaptation of the Board game, a story about the colonization of the island of Catan. Includes the base game and the expansion "the Seafarers".

The goal is to settle the island, build settlements and turn them into cities, trade with neighbors and become the most influential settler of the island, resulting in the recruitment of a certain number of victory points that are awarded for building settlements, cities, and also "longest road" and "largest army".

Playing three to four players on a field of hexes, where each of the hexes is one of the resources and chance obtain, at the contact line hexes, you can build roads, and at intersections of roads of the settlement.

Each turn throw the dice and the number rolled on the dice determines which hexes come income to those who have built a settlement or city on the edge of the hex. So there are more beneficial hexes (6 and 8) and less favorable (2 and 12), and there is an element of luck. Resources you can share with other players, which brings into play the element of "cooperation" - of course, it is beneficial to both parties. Well, who accumulate huge amounts of wealth - that runs the risk of being robbed: he would have to give half of his stock to the robbers who attack, if you roll a 7 (the most frequent number appearing on the two dice thrown).

Victory - getting a certain number of victory points - achieved in a different way. You can build as many cities as you can build as many settlements (for building cities only need wheat and stone, and for settlements - wheat, sheep, brick and wood). You can try to build the longest road, which also gives points, and you can spend resources on development cards, which give different advantages (bonus resources or the opportunity to select the players of their resources), as well as the army - own the biggest also gives you victory points. Thus, the development of the different players have not only to take care of themselves, but also to monitor the progress of the others.

Interest adds that directly prevent other players you can't - you can not attack; therefore, you have to compete for resources of the island, to persuade other players to unite against the strongest opponent and not to share with them resources to try to quickly take more advantageous parts of the map or give it to rivals. All this makes the gameplay extremely exciting and interesting to play with family or friends, and thanks to luck and diplomacy play an important role in the game, can play it on equal terms as a professional and a beginner.
