D-Day description

Very interesting multi-genre military game dedicated to the landing of allied troops in France in 1944. And all the genres that it offers, - arcade.

In D-Day there are four missions. In one, we manage the aircraft and the Allied bomber bombing enemy positions, and fighting in the air with German planes. In another controlled tank in ground battles. In both these missions the first-person view (from the cockpit). In the remaining two manage not technology, but people: you can choose platformer with a side view, in which we as a parachutist must land successfully in the enemy rear, and have a much more difficult mission in the saboteur (in isometric view) that needs to carefully make their way through enemy territory (includes even elements of stealth – for example, soldiers can crawl).

However, the element of strategy in the game is – at any time in any of the missions to look at the global map of hostilities (changing) to see it including its conventional location. Each mission can be played by itself, but you can take them and how a sustained campaign.

Graphically, the game looks very nice, I liked the portrayal of the night sky in the mission with the landing of the parachutist and the animation of the cab and hands the driver in the tank mission (by the way, all the objects in it – in full 3D!). The verdict is a rare, little known, apparently not even very serious, but very entertaining game, showing that even such seemingly hackneyed theme, you can create something truly original.

Enjoy playing D-Day online, it can be played on your browser and is free.
