Адскок

A very interesting DOS game was released by Интеллект in the year 1996. The game was called Адскок. You can now play it online.

Адскок description

Program "Adstock", written by A. Lazarev in 1990 for the Soviet computer "Vector-06C", is one of the most well-known domestic games of this period. In 1995 Russian enthusiast Yuri Vasikov ported this arcade game for IBM PC-compatible computers.

The essence of the game is quite simple - we manage the anthropomorphic monster that needs to get to the end of the level, bypassing abstractly depict obstacles (spiders, flies, flames of the three mouths of the dragon, the rope to drain the toilet, legs fat policeman...). Like PAC-man, the main character is not able to stop its own movement, which adds complexity to the game.

Visually, "Adstock" for DOS and looks, frankly, doesn't matter - even the original version for "Vector" supports more colors. But it is necessary to praise the digitized sound to be played through the PC Speaker, music (four-second snippet of the March "the Nutcracker" by Tchaikovsky) and voice effects (sample of "Game over, man!" after a loss) sound quite clean.

In General, the "Adccac" - a good time killer. Port well follows the original, but it's better to find and play a version of "Vector-06C".
