T-Mek description
A rare action for DOS, the "forerunner" of the modes from first-person Battlezone and Uprising.
In contrast, there is no some special story. We only know that in the distant and dystopian future have become very popular senseless bloody contests between pilots of combat vehicles T-Mek's. You just run one of these gizmos (it looks more like a hovercraft) and have to consistently clean up "arena" of enemies (called "arena" - a formality, as they are called in the game, in fact it's full levels). The first-person.
Of the features of the gameplay can be divided into two. First, you have a radar (located at the bottom of the game screen), which displays the location of enemies on the level, which greatly facilitates the game. Second, despite the very beautiful design and ample dimensions, each level is still a fully Autonomous zonal unit, if you will "map". It should be easy to clean up, then we go to the next. No puzzles, even the most primitive, no progress, only destruction of the enemies in this particular location. Incidentally, the "arena" differ not only in appearance: if one is required to undergo a complete sweep of the area, the other is just achieving a certain "account" (ie the number of enemies killed).
What really pleases – so it's graphics and the diversity of level design. No, arena is not like another – and volcanic deserts and underground caves, and vast expanses of ice... And everywhere – quite detailed and rich in colors landscapes, three-dimensional enemies and very colorful palette. Play nice, though perhaps not for someone interesting – it is obvious that the game was designed primarily for multiplayer battles.
Verdict – still very good. Another bright but forgotten now a representative of the glorious era of "heavy" DOS'a. Recommended to all fans of majoitusta, sets, Battlezone and the like – at least the resemblance is here a lot.
