Strider description
Japanese "acrobatic" arcade, absolutely adorable for a Russian player - of course, in terms of plot.
In 2089, the Soviet Union finally captures the whole world. And his ruler – Grand Master meio, surrounded himself with bodyguards-cyborgs, - in General decides to seriously reduce the population of the planet for my own pleasure. But the hope of all progressive humanity still has – though not in the face of another American superhero. Savior of the West is destined to become the Japanese strider'have named Hiryu. Insanity? Insanity, but primarily for those times. And for our looks even as it cheerfully and svirenko – one Master meio is worth, that I had to come up with!..
But we will discuss better gameplay. It's not quite standard arcade game where you can only run and jump. This, along with the Street Cat, one of the first "parkour simulator", where a character can perform a variety of acrobatic movements to fabricate various flips, cling to the subtle projections on the walls, to catch up and so on. The weapon here, of course, and a Plasma Sword, but still a large part of fights it wins by skill and not by force. Because we have to admit that many of the common enemies (the game has 5 levels and a lot of not only "just" enemies and "bosses") are physically much stronger than your character and can be defeated only by cunning and dexterity.
a flying strongman Scaling the wall with your hooks Avoid the lasers End of level boss made up of the board members. The animation in the DOS version is very limited.
Graphically, the game looks weird: very nice and bright (even something as "at the circus"), but the graphics minimize – often in the middle of the black screen is a little platformok where the action is. By the way, it is because of such graphs occurring in any way cannot be taken seriously, and this game is only good. Fans of platformers with a complex control is recommended.
Have you ever wondered what kind of video games were played in the good old days? Try playing Strider online now and we are sure you will not stop playing again.
