Stocks & Bonds

A very interesting DOS game was released by Microcomputer Games, Inc. in the year 1982. The game was called Stocks & Bonds. You can now play it online.

Stocks & Bonds description

The computer version of the economic Board games. Common sense – make money in the stock market.

Start-up capital in the game – five thousand dollars, given a choice of ten types of shares (or rather, the corporations whose shares you can buy or sell), each turn (game turn-based, of course) is one year. For it is possible to buy and sell stocks, trying to buy cheaper (when the price of something low) and sell high (when the price of any stock rises, you have to track). The ultimate goal is to become the richest shareholder. You can even play eight on one computer, but you can, of course, and one against computer opponents.

The game was released in 1982 (on PC, whereas on other platforms, yet), written in Basic, so the graphics here are not in principle, only the text. Especially difficult to call it too – all the same simulation of the stock market it heavily conditional. While it is a funny moment – a kind of "calculator", which notes the particularly successful or particularly unsuccessful for days. However, play is sometimes interesting, and the historical value of the game is very high.
