Very attractive and touching game that is arguably a kind of "forerunner" of the game Heart of Darkness, but in a more somber and serious tones.

The plot is as follows. In addition to familiar "normal" world, there is another world – Night (Night World), which is ruled by an evil monster count Chuck and serve him a different creature. Count Chuck really wants to conquer people and come up with this more than the original way is to kidnap all the Pets and people to turn into zombie soldiers, in order to then point them towards the humanity. Among other stolen animals is a dog named Tex, owned by johnny boy Dex. But johnny doesn't agree so easy to part with a beloved friend – he decides to go to Night Peace and to release him and all the other poor animals.

The game is really similar to Heart of Darkness, at least at first. But after some time I notice that there is more of tragedy, violence and some strange "pseudorealism" what is happening. Of weapons from johnny – only a slingshot, and the number of bonus tiles for her – not so big as we would like (the number of ordinary stones, infinite). You can find new stones, but they still will always be missed. There are other bonuses – lollipops and hearts to replenish health, toy dog for extra lives, but it somehow doesn't look "toy-like and unserious".

The game has a lot of strong and terrible enemies – different devils, skeletons, monsters, zombies, flying, hooked hands, spiders and other true hellish beings, and to cope with them sometimes very difficult. Of course, there are also huge bosses. The objective in each level is to free all the animals languishing in cages, smashing with a rock from a slingshot the locks on the cells. Only then can you move on to the next level.

The graphics are very good – the developers have managed to perfectly convey the atmosphere of the demonic world monsters. We are waiting for a truly dark locations: the cemetery, the spooky caves with the skulls, murky swamps, and everywhere the terrible danger that is often worse than "animate" the enemy (here it is possible to harden or drown). However, this design means that the game most likely will not work.

Verdict – very nice and complex (but still moderately) platformer from the category of "light horror" and indeed a noble end goal that simply can not fail to please the fans worthy examples of the genre.
