Mission Mopreme description
Mission Mopreme — vertical scrolling shooter with nice graphics and the relatively low level of complexity. The game is in all senses of the word small: the authors have submitted it for competition shooters and platformers with a maximum size of 32 kilobytes, which took place in the framework of a demoparty (conference of the representatives of the demoscene) Mekka 97 at the end of March 1997 in Germany. Mission Mopreme took the contest in fifth place.
There are several types of ground and airborne enemies in this game. Explosions. An enemy fighter is destroyed by Mini Missiles.
The gameplay is standard for the genre: controlled by the player aircraft moves over an industrial landscape towards the waves of hostile air and ground equipment, as well as a fortified firing points. The main objective is to destroy as many enemy units. The player's ship is equipped with missiles and energy cannon. Energy can be replenished by picking up the scattered on the way of the player "pills".
Enemy waves are becoming more dense as you progress further.
The plot itself is not; because the prescribed conditions of the contest restrictions on the size of the program also lacks any menu, settings or table of records. The number destroyed by the player's opponents and the scores are displayed on the screen on DOS program exit. At the same time, Mission Mopreme has a relatively high quality graphics and pleasing variety of enemy equipment to play background music. Exit the game by pressing Esc-key is accompanied by a beautiful animation. Although the Mission Mopreme hardly play the game is made with great art and can serve for a pleasant stay.
