Electro Man description
It is very difficult to determine the genre of the game. Arcade? Or maybe a puzzle? Okay, I'll platformer.
Main character suspiciously similar to Robocop a cyborg named Jack. Jack needs to overcome the 8 levels, collecting each of them has three computer chip (suspiciously resembling audio cassettes). In this case it will interfere with enemy robots as well as numerous obstacles, such as mines, located in different places guns; protective padding and much, much more. For cleaning the area our hero is a versatile gun that is an upgrade to the next level with the help of special batteries; if you do not save ammunition, the weapon returns to its previous level – up to complete loss.
Why the above mentioned puzzle? The thing is that the game features a very high complexity. In fact, the above robots are the most harmless of all, that we will meet in the game. Far more problems will bring all kinds of ingenious traps and the need to accurately move and jump. Fuel to the fire adds an intricate system of teleports, not giving normally to navigate in space; and the labyrinths and without that simplicity is no different. Besides, each level has several checkpoints, which you can save (the life of us, fortunately, endless) – but in doing so Jack loses all weapons, and sometimes the presence of some species is very important.
And all this leads to the fact that if the first level is passed effortlessly, then the next will have to sweat; and it will be even worse.
Therefore, we can recommend the game to fans just "run-shoot", I would not; but the rest of the view is definitely worth it.
Graphically, the game is very high quality and looks very nice, although without any frills (but do not forget that the original version, Electro Body, had to not only work on VGA, but CGA/EGA-graphics cards). With the sound also all right – there are nice special effects and digitized voice (Yes!); supports Sound Blaster and PC Speaker.
