Digger

In the year 1983, Windmill Software developed a Side view perspective game by the name Digger. You can now play it online here.

Digger description

An absolute arcade classic, in fact, needs no great description. In this game you will control a digging machine that digs the ground (which is logical), collects found in the soil gems and destroying or avoiding enemies.

The main goal in each level is to collect all the emeralds, because only then can we move on to the next level, naturally more difficult (although it is desirable also to kill all the enemies). There are two types of enemies – Nobbins and Hobbins, the evil underground beings, and the latter moved much faster than the first (usually at the level of the monster, but believe me, this is more than enough). Usually Hobbins obtained over time from Nobbins, but after some time they returned to their original state. Enemies can chase our car only dug her in the earth, the tunnels they dig them can't.

Destroy the enemies in two ways. The first is to shoot them (pressing button F1), but we must remember that shot at a specific point in time the machine can make only one (recharging takes about thirty seconds), and only in the direction now turned her "before". The second method is to dig up the ground around found bags of gold that they fell down and crushed the enemies (the right time, so they were directly under the bag to catch is quite difficult, in addition, the bags can kill you if you're not careful to dig the ground beneath them, while below them). In addition, the game can collect rare bonuses-cherries (their appearance depends on the number of monsters you have to kill at this level), thanks to which our machine can become temporarily invisible to enemies.

After getting twenty thousand points on each level you are given an extra life. Not to mention how do the growing complexity of the game as you progress through the levels (monsters of both types can move faster Hobbins there are longer than at lower levels, recharge shot takes more time, bonuses, conversely, are less time and so on), and just the highest at the time of AI monsters that tend to surround the player, acting in a virtual team.

Graphics (at least for 1983) positively wonderful, colored, colorful, incredibly eye pleasing beauty of the picture. Do not play this game at least once in your life – so seriously deprive themselves culturally, however pathetic it may sound. To say anything else is meaningless – it's just a classic.

Not sure how to pass your time, why not play our classic videogame Digger online? And the best part, it is for free!
